S.7 student, Lee Yieng, Cassandra, joined the international competition, Maths in the City, organized by the Technology-Assisted Lifelong Learning (TALL) Unit, University of Oxford, England. It was a competition for promoting the discovery of Maths knowledge applied in the environment around us. Cassandra’s entry was about the mathematical foundation in the design of the Hong Kong Space Museum (East Wing), the Stanley Ho Space Theatre. Her entry was much appreciated and she was selected as one of the highly commended awardees. She is invited to the University of Oxford for the prize presentation. She was also interviewed by the SCMP and the Hong Kong Economic Times.
中七李瑩同學參加了由英國牛津大學TALL Unit舉辦的數學比賽,得到評審團高度讚賞,獲頒發Highly Commended獎項,並獲大會邀請到英國領獎。李瑩同學的參賽作品,是嘗試用非歐幾何去說明香港太空館何鴻燊天象廳的蛋形設計。英文南華早報及香港經濟日報均到訪李瑩同學,作了專題報導。
