In Summer 2014, about 30 S1 to S4 HTYC students joined the Flashpoint Debating Workshops and Tournament. They have received training on public speaking and debating skills delivered by experienced local and overseas debaters. Our students have participated in many impromptu debates throughout the training and received valuable feedback from the adjudicators.
On 2 August, our students joined the Flashpoint Debating Tournament, exchanging ideas with students from over 20 secondary schools. They participated in 3 rounds of impromptu debates, discussing controversial issues including effects of pop song singers on teenagers and paying housewives for their contribution.
